Be a civic leader – Christian Achaleke

Where inspiration meets action

"Young people are Ambassadors of peace and not agents of violence."

Achaleke Christian is a youth civil society activist from Cameroon with 12 years of experience. In 2018, he was named Luxembourg Peace Prize winner , and in 2016 he was named Commonwealth Young Person of the year in 2016.

Growing up and leaving violence on hand,  Achaleke transformed into a peace advocate,  using his experience of violence to prevent extremist offenders (in prisons) and vulnerable young people from radicalization. He advocates for youth-friendly national and global policy in peace building.

Achaleke is a member of UNOY youth advocacy team working toward implementing and the localization of the UNSCR 2250.
