Monegasque Red Cross

Where inspiration meets action

What is the Monegasque Red Cross ?

On 3 March 1948, the Monegasque Red Cross was founded by Prince Louis II.

Prince Louis II was wishing for Monaco to fulfill the humanitarian missions defined by the International Committee of the Red Cross, which was created upon the initiative of the great humanist Henry Dunant.

Since then, the Red Cross has been trying to meet the challenges imposed upon it on a global scale by natural disasters, armed conflicts, displacements of populations.

Locally, they has never stopped supporting the most destitute and goes on providing its help day after day, following the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross, with the help of its volunteers.
